| Jack & Jill: we
raised Jack and his sister Jill after their mother died when they were
a day old. Jill was adopted at 8 weeks, but Jack suffered a head injury
in a freak accident 2 days before he was supposed to go to his new home.
After 3 days in a coma and 9 days in the hospital, he is home again,
and we are waiting to see how much brain function returns. Although he
is blind now and shows some signs of brain damage, he gets around our
home quite well and is very cuddly. Right now his biggest problem
is that his mouth won't open due to a jaw fracture--he's going to need
surgery to help him be able to eat well on his own. |
